| For those of you who don't know what is an IP Address, I will try to explain it here in a simple way. An IP Address is used to specify a point in the computer system and is unique to each computer or device on the network. Each time you connect to a web service like Google or yahoo, you are actually accessing a different IP Address from different locations. Each time you enter or leave a web page, some information about your computer or device is passed to the server which stores it in its database. If there is a new entry, you will be asked to enter or leave a password before the page is fully loaded. As you can see, there are many ways to access the IP Address of a domain name. For example, you could type in your domain name on a web browser and gain access to the information stored there. However, this process can take a long time, depending on the speed of your internet connection. In this case, the better option would be to synchronize the domain name using a DNS service. A DNS is an acronym for Domain Name System. It is also known as an IP Address or IP dns service. There are two types of DNS, the first is the authoritative, which is usually controlled by the Internet Service Provider or ISP, the second being the client-side, which is run by the end user. You can have your own domain name system (sometimes called an IP-based name system) or you can use an externally established domain name system such as ICANN or oPF. With an externally established system, your computer or device needs to configure the DNS server before it will attempt to contact the DNS server. Usually, this is done during the startup process of your PC. There is however a very easy way to solve this issue and that is to use the chkconfig boot service. When you restart your computer, you may come across a message like fecipped or reboot failed. This normally happens when your reboot attempts to change the settings of your compute machine. If you want to change anything, you first need to login to the pc as root (without the user name). Then type "control Panel" in the console tree and click on "Domain Name" or "Host Name". Then you can change whatever you need to. There are two methods for changing the DNS server on your machine. You could either use the built in "change DNS" command or you could use external DNS resolver software like einf hrung dns. To use the built in method, you need to be in the "Safe Mode" with networking capabilities enabled. Normally this is set by default in the network settings. You can enable it for the safe startup process. If you cannot connect to the domain name system through the Safe Mode, you can go to the Control Panel to create a standard user account. By using the typical Windows password, you will be able to access the control panel. Then select the "Internet Options" icon. Check the "HTTPS" option and press the "olerating" link in the browser menu. This will allow you to connect to the domain name system through the secure internet and secure pages. If you can not reach the domain name server, check the hardware or network issues. The hardware issue can be related to the firewall in your computer system or the hardware failure. Then there are the software problems, which mostly occur when the automatic updates fail. If you cannot connect to the domain name system, you can go to the Control Panel and select the "Internet Options" icon. |
